It Is Biden and ...

Yeah, a little late to the party, but I was busy playing 45 holes yesterday and I never got my text! Speaking of the 45, best shot of my life yesterday. About 5 yards behind a trap with about a 10-foot lip, pin tucked in pretty tightly close to the trap, green sloping away from me heavily downhill from right to left, can only see the top of the pin. Flop one up, lands right over trap, just on the fringe, about 20 feet to right of the hole, thinking it may have a shot, sprint out to right of trap, see the ball trickling down towards the cup, start my get-in-the-hole bit, rims around and bullseye, drops right in there. Bedlam. Absolute bedlam. Gave me the birdie and three skins (two of which had carried over.) I gotta be honest, even though I was just playing some b.s., match, overall score and skins against my bro, seeing that ball roll in had to be one of the top 3 sporting moments in my life. I gotta think the old people on the green next to us must think I'm affirmatively insane. Just the major effin' awesomeness. I can't imagine what it would be like to nail a hole in one. Hoepfully one of these days I'll find out.

Anyway, so what do you Grievers think of the Biden pick. Fan? Not a fan? Why? Why not? (I am fan if for no other reason that it is not Hillary.)

Guest Post By SL22: Is Marriage Really For White People?

Why did I include a picture of Mike Tyson to represent this idea, you ask? Well, it's because I feel like I just had my eyes raped out while reading these stupid articles about race and marriage, which didn't quite make it as a sitcom on CBS. Also, Mike Tyson claims to have a
14-inch Wang , which explains the pain in my eyes, along with the crazy delusions of Mike Tyson in regards to, well, Mike Tyson.

Anyways, CNN is running their new series, "Retard Point-Counterpoint", and the first salvo was fired by a black woman named Dionne Hill, musing on the topic of black marriage, which is really at the forefront of just about everybody's thoughts these days. Miss Hill muses on the perfect life she thought her grade school teacher Mrs. Allen had, saying, "A career she enjoyed, a nice home, two adorable children and a husband. She shared her tools for success with me at an early age. She went to college, got married and waited until she was 26 to have her first child. The perfect life. The perfect plan. It was one I decided to model." She caps this off by noting the major difference between the two of them...Mrs. Allen was white.

Just Me?

Just went outside to meet a buddy and had the bad fortune of stumbling across that All-Star Game Red Carpet Parade. Monumental clusterfuck. I will never, ever, understand what people get out standing around watching famous people drive by and wave at them. I honestly just don't get it. I pretty much put it in the same boat as asking for autographs. Is it just me or am I missing something?

Chicago Fun

Thursday: Catch the Yankee game at Cellular Field. Act like an obnoxious asshole Yankee fan all night long. Have one about 65-year old dude threaten me with "this ain't New York, this is the South Side of Chicago brutha, so watch it." Then have some little Napolean complexed fat dude hit me with "You're an asshole, you're a real fucking asshole," and make a very fake offer to take it outside. Then had to endure the shame of Joba blowing it, and just about had to be whisked out of the Stadium. Beautiful ball park, very good time, the pulled pork sandwich was fantastic.

Friday: Play a round at Harborside International, links style course, used rentals which were brand new Calloway set, over 50+ mph winds all day, reached the par 5, 560 yard 18th in two. Shot a 55 on the front and a 45 on the back, and was puffing my chest out a bit about that 45. Hardest conditions I've ever played. Oh yeah, shook Franco Harris hand in the lobby (texted Vandelay to tell him so and he simply replied "Fuck You"). Noticed a bunch of big black dudes on the course, one of my buddies asks someone from course if there is an event, person says Walter Payton Invitational and my buddy says: "Is Walter here?" The guy thought my buddy was trying to be funny and was not amused, it had just slipped his mind, however, and he felt awful. Barry Sanders, Bob Hope and Warrick Dunn were among other listed attendees who we did not see.

So, you are licensed physician and you are asked to do an autopsy and determine the cause of death for black guy found wrapped like a mummy in cellophane at the bottom of a Mississippi lake. What are the chances that you rule the death a suicide and explain: "It's the most determined case of suicide that I've ever seen." Well, if you are this guy, not bad. Not bad at all.
