Thank God We Got By That!

Phew!!! Mad props have to go out to the Clintons who on successive nights at the very least appeared to show their support and provide ringing endorsements for their man, Obama. Not that there should be anything surprising about Dems being in support of the Democratic candidate but if you watched or read any of the pundits leading up to the DNC, they would have led you to believe that these people would have gone to Denver, walked up to the podium in front of millions of people, and hung the guy out to dry. The crowd actually appeared to be relieved after they each so obviously professed their support. After Hillary's speech, I was watching one guy tell us that Obama was lucky to get through that but Bill could be a real thorn in his side tomorrow night. What the fuck? Who in their right mind would believe that they would ever do that? Okay, I'll digress before I stop making sense if it hasn't already happened.

Tonight is going to be nuts. I think John Elway could stand next to Obama in Invesco Field the whole time and nobody would notice. Dude got the loudest ovation at John Kerry's DNC four years ago when nobody even knew who he was.

The thing that pisses me off most about the Dems is that they spend so much time splitting themselves into warring factions that, despite the fact that Bush is so much of a fuck-up that they should have about a 100% lead in the polls, Obama's practically neck-and-neck with McCain (although Obama's neck looks much nicer than McCain's jowly Jell-O jiggler thing he's got going).
