Sam Johnson (R-Tex.), talking to the president during a recent church pancake breakfast in Texas:
"Syria is the problem. Syria is where those weapons of mass destruction are, in my view. You know, I can fly an F-15, put two nukes on 'em and I'll make one pass. We won't have to worry about Syria anymore."Johnson now says "I was kind of joking -- you know, we were talking between veterans." Hysterical.
"Oh, you know- it was some of that old war-tested Nat'l Guard, blowin up several thousand ragheads talk, don't mind us."
Well why didn't you just say so? Probably harmless then.

Sam was probably only half joking. In his previous life he was an Air Force fighter pilot. No Nat'l Guard service for him. Instead he spent 7 years in Hanoi. So at least he has the ability to follow through with his remarks.
