She Is So Gross
Is it too much to ask that she get run over by a bus?
Good thing too, that Slick Willy has been breaking it down as to how the Obama camp is playing the race card.
I hate them.

Maybe this is just wishful thinking. But this could be the self destruction that so destroys them that they go hang out with Mark McGwire and disappear.

I hate them.
I think it's mutual.

This probably doesn't deserve it's own post but it's fun nonetheless. Harvey Weinstein has threatened to cut off the Dems if they don't revote in Florida and Michigan.
If anyone watches Entourage at all, he's that maniac who looks likes his head is about to explode all the time.

This morning, when I read this, I think I set the record for most times the word "motherfucker" has been spoken in a 10 minute period.
Seriously:
"Look, I know he's winning and that the rules state the person who wins the primary is the nominee, but... can we be frank here... he's black. I'm white. You should nominate me instead."
With that logic, John Edwards should say, "I know I dropped out of the race because I was losing, but do you think America's going to vote for a chick? Put me in."

The longer this shit goes on, the more John McCain just sits back and laughs his old ass off, counting the days until November.
That was it for today's "Captain Obvious's Take of the Day" from me.

Okay, I'll say it. What's the issue here?
Posted by: Art Vandelay | May 08, 2008 at 01:13 PM
I found myself screaming at NPR yesterday morning, Hill was on talking about how she wasn't going to give up, and her huge 2% margin of victory the other day made it clear she should be the democratic candidate. I truly wish she would do the noble thing and give up now.

You know why she's able to "answer the call" at 3 AM? Because there is no way she can sleep at night with the crap she's pulling.
Posted by: Kristal K | May 08, 2008 at 01:18 PM
We're not complaining about what she said. It is factual enough. Its just so patently hypocritical of her. Additionally, if it works, she cannot out white McCain. She has far too many mullato step-children for that.

What did she pull there?

Maybe when she tries to be VP and Obama tells her to GFH because of these shameful tactics she will go the "not here to talk about the past" route.

It really is sad because both she and Willy have done some good things. However, they have destroyed all + legacies. All I say.
Posted by: Ocho Ocho | May 08, 2008 at 02:27 PM
"What did she pull there?"
In her arrogance, she forgot that we (sometimes) have a democratic system and the Democratic Party was not going to just bow down and say, "Yes, Madame Senator, you're 'owed' the nomination, we'll just hand it to you." Now she's getting all upset because the majority of Americans do not want her to be the Democratic nominee. Maybe if she takes it all the way to the Convention, she can cry some more on the podium with Chelsea holding the box of tissues & Bill passing them to her, get sympathy superdelegates and then get her much 'owed' nomination.

I don't know. It seems to me that someone asked her why she wasn't conceding and she pointed to some research that showed a trend that more uneducated white people were starting to vote for her. It's either true or it isn't. It's either enough to swing it in her favor or it isn't (probably isn't). I don't really see how that's fucking with the democratic process at all.

Prepare to vomit.

In context, she's arguing that these people are voting for her because they will not vote for him.
And she's making the argument that, despite how the people have voted, some votes should matter more than others.
Also? The actual vote doesn't matter. The process doesn't matter. Nominating the person that is most electable should matter. So... why even have a vote?
These are very, very big deals.

And she's making the argument that, despite how the people have voted, some votes should matter more than others.
Really? I didn't catch any of that. Is she saying that stupid white people's votes should count more than others?
Posted by: Art Vandelay | May 08, 2008 at 03:18 PM
The only chance they "think" they have is to convince the DNC to count the unrecognized results from FLA and MI- the latter of which did not even carry Obama's name on the ballot. Even if that does happen, which is doubtful, and they do get the count needed to win increased from 2, 025 to 2, 269 she'll still need a hail Mary to gain the lead.
I love her argument that only uneducated white people will vote for her, thereby making her the more qualified candidate.

Yes. She's asking that we disregard how many people have voted for her and focus on who has voted for her. And a a result of that analysis, she should be the nominee.

"I love her argument that only uneducated white people will vote for her, thereby making her the more qualified candidate."
That tickled me too, Kruger.
Posted by: Jackie | May 08, 2008 at 03:45 PM
You also have to love the implication that being black somehow excludes one from being a "hard-working American."
"Obama's support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college..."
Posted by: Jackie | May 08, 2008 at 03:48 PM

Oh. I though she was saying that the trend shows that stupid white people are starting to lean more towards her and that could sway the voting her way. If she is in fact saying what you've indicated here, that's the most senseless thing Ive ever heard. Even is she acyually believes it, how can she possibly think it could have any bearing on anything?
Posted by: Art Vandelay | May 08, 2008 at 03:53 PM
You also have to love the implication that being black somehow excludes you from being a "hard-working American."
And that, if you're college-educated, you're apparently not hard working. Since when does uneducated mean hard-working anyway?
It's also awful for 2 more reasons:
1.) It's pandering to the highest, most blatant awful degree, and even if she wins every remaining state by 25 points and gets 65% of the superdelegates, she still loses. So this is all arguing a point that serves her no purpose and weakens the party.
2.) It's clear that she only values people that support her. When blacks loved Bill, she was out there trumping up how important the black voice was. The true black advocate. And once the tide turned on her, suddenly you can't win a national election with the black vote? Does she remember 1992?
Posted by: Assman | May 08, 2008 at 03:58 PM
I though she was saying that the trend shows that stupid white people are starting to lean more towards her and that could sway the voting her way.
Even if the voting swayed her way, she'd need to win every remaining state by 40 points to win the nomination. And even then, she'd need 75% of the supers.
She can't win on the vote. There aren't enough uneducated white people in the country. She's arguing that she should be awarded the nomination anyway.
