Ownage
The skinny: Detroit City Councilwoman Monica Conyers (wife of Congressmen John Conyers) throws a tantrum at a Council meeting and calls the CC Prez "Shrek." Later, some 8th graders sit down with Conyers to discuss the matter and one 13-year old takes the councilwoman out behind the woodshed.
Aside from the entertainment factor, this gives us two glimpses: (1) why Detroit is currently the way it is; (2) hope for the next generation of women from the Motor City.

That was awesome. The little girl sitting to Conyers' left cracking up there at the end was the cherry on top.
What an embarassment.

Is anyone surprised? I mean, I hail from the Detroit area. The city is trying its best to re-develop itself and quite frankly, being there quite often, the city itself has made some big strides. The we see crap like this that shows the City Council acting like Jerry Springer guests and Detroit's rep goes right back into the shit heap.
Good for that 13 year old. Taking these corrupt "leaders" behind the woodshed is a great start.

Wow. Totally got owned by the eighth-grader.
The sad thing is, this is a step up from the Coleman Young years. Also, this is, by far, the least controversial thing going on in Detroit city politics these days.
Go Tigers. (Wings and Pistons, too. Lions? No thanks.)
