Throwing Puppies Off A Cliff...
Disclaimer...as the title indicates, this is a video of a couple of soldiers throwing a puppy off of a cliff. If that disturbs you in a way that might completely ruin your day...don't play it. I'd hate to be responsible for ruining your day.

...not cool. Look, here's my thing with this. I understand that we can't really relate to any of the hopes and aspirations that a puppy may have but if you're twisted enough to find humor in this act and have no qualms about it whatsoever to the point that you'd videotape it to show people how cool you are...how the hell are you treating innocent civilians out there when there's no camera around? Is it safe to say "not favorably."
Am I being melodramatic in my thinking that these fuckers should be dishonorably discharged as quickly as that process takes or should I just shut the fuck up because they're out there risking their lives for my freedom?
Wait...what were they risking their lives for again?
"Am I being melodramatic in my thinking that these fuckers should be dishonorably discharged as quickly as that process takes or should I just shut the fuck up because they're out there risking their lives for my freedom?"
Let them rot. These sick twisted F's should be dishonorably discharged, face a court martial, sit some time out in the brig & then maybe someone should do US a favor and throw them off a cliff -- we don't need to be sharing air space with these idiots.

I'm sure that puppy probably fared better than what they're doing to "everyday Iraqis". This Iraq deal has always been a fucking mess. No clear mission, sit around all day and wait to get blown up while the mullahs and the clerics jerk themselves off in their bullet-riddled mosques and the so-called Iraqi gov't stays home watching Leave it to Beaver. Another, hundred years of this shit?

Yes, Vandelay. Sociopaths like cruelty to animals just as much as cruelty to humans. Keep them the hell away from innocent people (and puppies).

Sick fucks. Should be room-mates with Mike Vick.

What, you people are surprised by this? Did you think people joined the military because they like giving stuffed animals to kids? Doug Stanhope said it best: People join the military because they want to kill someone. The military isn't the YMCA.
Posted by: Sancho | March 05, 2008 at 06:46 PM
I joined the military and I never particularly wanted to kill anyone. Lately I've toyed with the idea, but I think that's just old age crankiness kicking in.
These idiots should be tossed. The Army has lowered their standards too much already, they don't need to keep "stupid psychotic asshole" on the "acceptable" list.
What happened to the cat and the bear?

I had a friend (he's since died) who was probably the most pacifistic person I've ever known. He was just really into fighter jets so he joined the Marines. Sounds weird but it's true.

Another day, another couple of fucktard enlistees that make me look bad.
The guy who actually threw the puppy will probably get an Article 15 and a general discharge. The others in his group will get reprimanded (lose rank, lose pay..etc), but probably not get discharged. They were only accessories. Of course, that is what I think will happen, but I don't know.
Overall that is just sick. I have no other feeling right now but utter disgust.

There really is nothing ok about this. It's one thing when Jack Black punts Will Ferrell's dog off a bridge in Anchorman but this is a whole lot of wrong.
Serial killers start with animals. Jeffrey Dahmer much?
Posted by: randi | March 06, 2008 at 01:23 PM
These people should not only be kicked out of the armed forces, but also be sterilized and have their voter registration revoked while we are at it. Might as well remove that algae from the gene pool.

OH MY GOSH!! This makes me so mad! How can you seriously be that fucking rude to throw an innocent puppy(especially one as cute as that)who did nothing to you off a cliff. I know that all soldiers may not be like that, but because soldiers like this portray such cruelty and idiocy "on camera" it makes me wonder what they do off camera..like what the fuck..these people are fighting for my freedom?
These soldiers need to be discharged they obviously have some serious psycological problems!! sick fucks!

Hey Emly: Would it be ok if the puppy did something to him? Such as?

"Serial killers start with animals. Jeffrey Dahmer much?"
I'm trying to figure out what is more ridiculous -- this, or the notion that a man who gets dominant kicks out of blow jobs will one day be a rapist.

I think that Daumer actually did start his criminal progression with animals. Its not theory but actually fact. He tortured animals as a child. Can anyone document this?

"I think that Daumer actually did start his criminal progression with animals. Its not theory but actually fact. He tortured animals as a child. Can anyone document this?"
It is a fact. I've seen the documentary with his parents. That is not the point, however. Just because Jeffrey Dahmer killed animals and went on to become a serial killer, it does not follow that all people killing animals or even a small percentage of them will become serial killers, as well.
I used to throw salamanders against the rocks at sleep away camp. I used to pull the legs off daddy long legs. Salt the slugs to death. As far as I know, I have not killed any human beings.
Granted, that is far removed from the shit these guys are doing, but the point still stands.
Posted by: jackie | March 07, 2008 at 12:56 PM
Point taken. That would mean that every hunter is an eventual psycho killer. Obviosuly not true. I think there is a slight distinction between hunting and even dogfighting and what was done here, for the heck of it.
Posted by: Ocho Ocho | March 07, 2008 at 02:13 PM
I wasn't trying to generalize the entire population of eventual serial killers. I threw frogs against the side of a wall for kicks as a kid. What I am saying is there didn't seem to be much remorse on the faces of either of those douchebags and it seems as though they have the potential to do much worse.

"I think there is a slight distinction between hunting and even dogfighting and what was done here, for the heck of it."
Agreed.
There is no questioning that this is a particular type of sick.

The interesting thing about the video is the last line from Morati.
That's cruel Morati.
It's what I do.
The thing is we send these guys into absolute hell and want them blow apart insurgents and anyone else who gets in our way but when the fighting stops we expect them be the same old Joe from highschool. You don't send nice guys into a war and expect to win- you send killers. That's what military is for, not babysitting oil fields and breaking up fights between rampaging fanatics that have been going on for 800 hundred years.
My point is that people should think a lot harder before they support another war and they should take responsibility for making sure these people are ready for civilian life when they're tour(s) are done.
It's kind of ridiculous when you see people getting all bent out of shape over the puppy toss but when a Guardsmen comes home and is facing his third or fourth tour kills his wife and kids and then himself- no one gives a crap.

So does the title to this post get the song Pulling Muscles from a Shell in anyone else's head?

In response to Kruger's last post, I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that a substantial majority of the current military, as well as a substantial majority of vets who have foughts in wars, are not ok with throwing a puppy off a cliff for goofs.

dude, I'm looking at the bigger picture here. Fuck the puppy. The real issue is how are we going to deal with these guys when they come back. Morati isn't the only unstable soldier in the military.

You got me on this one. huh?

"Morati isn't the only unstable soldier in the military."
You think being in the military has driven him to throw puppies off cliffs? Or do you think he was the type of guy who liked throwing puppies off cliffs to begin with and figured he joined the military and kill people as his job?

Well that's a damn good question. Watch the movie "In the Valley of Elah" for a picture of how war changes people. But I don't know this guy personally so I can't make that judgment as to whether he developed disorders before or during his service.

I am of course appalled at the actions of this soldier. Just stop and think for a moment of all abuse of animals by other deranged people. This was captured on video thank God just so we can clearly see what happens. The e-mail I set-up as badpeople as 2 months ago my world changed when i retired after 47 years and was able to see what all my taxes went to. Drug addicts getting paid by our goverment and trying to tell me they are well screened. We were they there to watch them drink, swim, smoke, and drugs no but I was. If only we could see everything going on. It was Sunday morning June 1 2008 I was calling up Ellen Degeneres show that had a soldier that saved a dog that followed him 70 miles when to my suprise this video came up for some reason. Have shown it to everyone that comes to see me today and they are so upset also. They cannot believe what I am showing them. They are young people not old like me. All said how can anyone do that.
