For all the joy and laughter that myspace has provided us with this summer, I think we should really just let it go.
I like how they changed the title of my post and then copied the rest of it word for word. Pretty clever.
Posted by: Art Vandelay | August 22, 2007 at 03:50 PM
I also like how "my man Ocho Ocho," became "my man CS."
Clever indeed.
Posted by: jackie | August 22, 2007 at 03:52 PM
Yeah, but that guy describes his social status as "swinger." Surely you can do something with that?
Me, I have standards. I would never knowingly swing with a plagiarist.

Damn the firewall!
Anyone want to summarize?
Posted by: Assman | August 22, 2007 at 03:56 PM
"Anyone want to summarize?"
A myspace blogger has changed the title on a few of our posts and basically copied the posts and accompanying pictures in total. (Three posts linked to: (1) Messiah; (2) Read a Book Nigga; (3) Bonds 756.)
Posted by: jackie | August 22, 2007 at 04:06 PM
Anyone want to summarize?
Someone has themself a blog on Myspace. Just taking our posts and copying them word for word. Although, I didn't see any of yours. Myspacers must not find you very interesting. Take it as a compliment.
Posted by: Art Vandelay | August 22, 2007 at 04:07 PM
I'm voting for "Other Action". Do you have to be his friend to comment on his myspace blog? Sometimes, people could do with being humiliated in front of their faux friends.
Posted by: Craig | August 22, 2007 at 04:27 PM
Just noticed that he has several others in there as well: The posts about manboobs, necrophilia in Wisconsin, why do people hate Posh Spice and the woman who was kicked of a plane because of her toddler.
Either this is one of your myspace pages or this dude is a stalker. Here's to hoping none of you come home to a boiling bunny.

Cuatro
Least he could do is disconnect his unibrow.
Posted by: Jack Klompus | August 22, 2007 at 04:34 PM
That has got to be the most poorly designed heap of html I've ever seen.
Posted by: Art Vandelay | August 22, 2007 at 04:35 PM
Ah. I've seen folks doing that on MySpace before. Been a "victim" of it too. It's probably an insecure 14 year old that's afraid that his own personality sucks, so he's borrowing someone else's to hope people will like him.
I vote "no action, and enjoy the flattery."
Posted by: Assman | August 22, 2007 at 04:37 PM
I love his last comment on the Moob post...
man i am funny sometimes.
It's not enough to take credit for someone else's work...then you have to publicly pat yourself on the back for it.

28 actually.
I vote "no action, and enjoy the flattery."
Agreed.
He's probably reading this right now and just took a big ass sigh of relief.

"Just noticed that he has several others in there as well: The posts about manboobs, necrophilia in Wisconsin, why do people hate Posh Spice and the woman who was kicked of a plane because of her toddler."
It's basically all Vandelay. I'm suprised this dude doesn't have a pink kayak and a skunk eating his cats' food.
Posted by: Jack Klompus | August 22, 2007 at 04:51 PM
28 actually.
MySpace doesn't check driver's licenses. He could be younger.
And if a 28 year old is doing that, I'm hoping he's either autistic, a wrestling fan or brain damaged. Grow a pair, junior. Write your own shit.
Posted by: Assman | August 22, 2007 at 04:55 PM
It was fuschia.
Posted by: Art Vandelay | August 22, 2007 at 04:56 PM
I personally think the guy is an idiot as well, mainly because you guys fucking suck and I hate all of you.
Posted by: SL22 | August 22, 2007 at 05:06 PM
I'll draft up a complaint sometime this week and circulate for comments.

"I'll draft up a complaint sometime this week and circulate for comments."
Go to Microsoft.com and download the Chris Rix Word template. You want to make sure you have PLENTY OF CAPS LOCK and "unecessary quotes" in there.

This May 29 comment from one of his "friends":
"because you never know! In 15 years you could be giving blowjobs for 5 bucks!" - pretty much a Vince classic in my mind.
Who originally penned this "Vince classic"?
On August 12, he copied somebody's post about the word "water" being included on a faucet—a post from an AofG person's other blog identity. So Vandelay's not the only one Vince has a man-crush on.
Personally, I think it's kinda sweet. I mean, it's not as if he's clever enough to get your attention by leaving comments on these blog posts. (He'd only get mocked for his dimness, and the mocking, she is merciless.) But he thinks you guys are the bee's knees, and this is how he expresses his yearning to be a part of your lives.

Now I'm suing. I thought I had the market cornered on petty observational humor!
Posted by: Assman | August 22, 2007 at 05:57 PM
It would be a great story, and awesome PR - Blogger sues Blogger for plagarism. Get interviewed and sh*t. Call him out publically and call him a B8tch. Anyone know any journalists?

Damn! He's even got into our blog roll now?
Now I'm suing.
All fun & games until it happens to you, Assmaine.

Had not thought of that, Klompus. Was thinking of something like this.
Tough call.
Posted by: jackie | August 22, 2007 at 06:53 PM
Yes it was me! A bet with some buddys over who's blog was better and got more responces from our freinds was taken too far. I am an idiot, I deserve all the shots taken at me. Take this how you will.
Posted by: The Idiot Himself | August 22, 2007 at 07:53 PM
I did not mention my apologies for taking such great stuff as my own.
Posted by: The Idiot Himself | August 22, 2007 at 07:54 PM
The blogs are apparently set to private now.
Posted by: Nominal Me | August 23, 2007 at 12:21 AM
The blogs have been deleted. My profile has been set to private to keep any friends of mine from being harrassed because of something stupid that i have done.
Posted by: The Idiot Himself | August 23, 2007 at 12:44 AM
Should have taken the viva viagra post, too.
Posted by: alex | August 23, 2007 at 05:33 AM
Why would you steal from Vandalay? He has a fucking pet skunk. What a d-bag.
Posted by: SL22 | August 23, 2007 at 08:29 AM
So are you really a 28 year old swinger and does this mean you lose the bet?
Posted by: Art Vandelay | August 23, 2007 at 09:52 AM
If he's stealing from you, he already has lost.
Posted by: M. Butler | August 23, 2007 at 10:08 AM
Damn. Tough crowd.
Posted by: Art Vandelay | August 23, 2007 at 10:15 AM
If its any consolation, Deadspin posted the Viva Viagra post yesterday, so Art's been getting doubleteamed.
Posted by: Assman | August 23, 2007 at 10:23 AM
I am 28. Not a swinger. Since one of the readers flooded all my friends list with links to the site yes i lost. And i took from vandelay cause they were the funniest posts i have seen.
Posted by: The Idiot Himself | August 23, 2007 at 10:28 AM
Thanks man. As far as theives go, you have fantastic taste.
Posted by: Art Vandelay | August 23, 2007 at 10:49 AM

Hey... who did this? Who went to his friends' pages and posted the link to AofG? That's completely unprofessional. Almost as unprofessional as plagiarism. Way out of line. I think an apology is owed to the guy.
Posted by: Assman | August 23, 2007 at 10:50 AM
"Hey... who did this?"
Smart money is on some prick from Phoenix.
Personally, I think Vinny is actually The Big O disguised as a swinging Mexican Libra, trying to get back at Jackie for banning him.
"And i took from vandelay cause they were the funniest posts i have seen."
Vandelay, perhaps you could start an intern program. Kids these days...they need mentors.

Lots of pricks here. That's a safe gamble. But it wasn't me. His account was private before I got a chance to do it myself.
But, yeah, sounds like something I'd do.
Posted by: Assman | August 23, 2007 at 11:22 AM
Vandelay, just kidding. You bring it.
Posted by: M. Butler | August 23, 2007 at 11:27 AM
Hey... who did this?
Despite suggesting that he needed to be made fun of in front of his imaginary internet friends, it wasn't me. I'm too lazy.
Posted by: Craig | August 23, 2007 at 11:47 AM
It took me like six reads through to figure out what is going on here.
Getting hammered on a Wednesday night is not a good idea.

Pshaw. This thread will still be here whenever you sober up.

"Getting hammered on a Wednesday night is not a good idea."
Sure it is -- on Wednesday night. Maybe not Thursday 9:00 a.m.

Excellent point.
(Klompus, you got e-mail.)
Posted by: jackie | August 23, 2007 at 03:20 PM
Yes, Klompus, you do indeed have email.
Posted by: SL22 | August 23, 2007 at 06:55 PM
"Klompus, you do indeed have e-mail."
You would like to e-mail his brother for him, wouldn't you?
