Return Of The Dumbass

Yes, John, we all know you were trying to make a joke at the president's expense. And we all know this is being blown out of proportion by a group of politicians who were otherwise headed for a trip to the woodshed. But the fact that you were incapable of following your own scripted repartee, especially a layup line such as the one you meant to say, says to me that you should probably take the high road on this one. Tell you what, if I give you another $250, will you promise to shut the fuck up and not ruin the mojo for the rest of us? Mmm-kay?

Thanks John, you finaly confirmed that the only person dumber than GW is you!

For the love all that is holy ...

There are two kinds of people in the world: 1.) Funny; 2.) Not funny.

The next time Kerry tries to make a joke, someone should walk up and punch him in the mouth.

the gift to the gop that keeps on giving. george mcgovern had the sense to keep quiet for ten years, until he reached wise old man status.

John's been getting a lot of face time lately on the news. Think he's gearing up for that run at the Democratic nomination again?
Please, please, let the Democrats come up with somebody worth voting for this time. Unless some miracle happens before then, the GOP has already wrapped up the election for them and handed it over with a big bow. Don't waste it on some jack ass like this.

"John's been getting a lot of face time lately on the news"

Well, he has plenty of face to give.

"Think he's gearing up for that run at the Democratic nomination again?"

Dems wouldn't waste a nomination on him again. They have far too many other electable (and likable) candidates.

Doesn't anyone think that he might have actually said exactly what he meant to say? Like he sort of decided to get "witty" and forgot that he had to be a politician for a second?

"The next time Kerry tries to make a joke, someone should walk up and punch him in the mouth."

One problem, how would you tell he was trying to make a joke?

Problem is, all comedy is rooted in truth. I am sure he actually believes what he says. Unfortunatley for the Dems this guy is arrogant enough to feel he is entitled to be Pres someday and will complicate the Primaries and give the GOP some breathing space. Rovey must be chuffed this has happened so close to the mid-terms. "Dems say our boys in Iraq are dumb" is gonna be the new GOP mantra!!

and like magic the Rovester is all over it -

Its facinating to me that there is so much talk about whether Kerry's comments willl somehow swing the momentum back to the republicans. Bush,Cheney and the rest are playing the comments for all they're worth, but it seems to me that that effort only forces people to focus even more on Iraq which is the principal reason people are unhappy with the Republicans anyway. A smarter strategy would be to focus on the economy or something else that people can rally around.

Disagree.

The whole "Democrats think they're smarter than us" shit really pisses a lot of folks off.

Kerry's a fucking douchebag and they should put his ass in Al Gore's lockbox and throw away the key.

The silver lining is that this should put an end to any chance he had of getting a presidential nomination.

Oh, and what really pisses me off is the myth that Democrats think they are smarter than everyone else. There are elitests on each side and that's what we should be concerned about. The assertion that the problem is only with the left is put forth by people who really do think they are smarter than the rest of us. Rush Limbaugh is a perfect example of this. He's the "Truth Detector" and he can tell you what goes on inside the minds of us evil progressives.

He's not too far away from being "The Senior Senator From Massachusetts." That's sort of a lockbox right there. He'll have the occasional press coverage, but he really can't do much damage.

Not Dick,

"Myth that Democrats think they are smarter than everyone else?" How is that a myth? And why does it piss you off? They won't shut up about it! To flip it back at you, I'll start from your only logical statemtnt (there are elitests yada yada yada)....

Try this..... "The assertion that the problem is only with the right is put forth by people who really do think they are smarter than the rest of us. Al Franken is a perfect example of this. He's the "Big Fat Idiot Detector" and he can tell you what goes on inside the minds of us evil conservatives."

See? It's BS from either side.

You're right, elitists of any stripe ( I would say extremists, but that's another post ) are bad, but don't be blind to the elitists on your side....

Cant' we all just get along?

Oops.

Can't.

Damn.
