Yup. Fuck him. This guy gets no sympathy. Did you see the elbow one that I posted?

Jackie

I mean, I don't play soccer, but I can't see how that level of dirty shit can be even close to normal. And the worst part is, is that's it's not even rugged dirty sh1t, but straight pussy type stuff. I'm surprised he hasn't been killed.

Just caught the elbow. Ridiculous.

In Materazzi's defense, Zidane is no altar boy and has career long record of numerous red cards, yellow cards and game suspensions. They are both very aggressive and rough players -- neither comes into this court with clean hands.

Materazzi is taking the sainted Italian son approach and claims he said nothing Zidane's mother, because "a mother is sacred to me."

jerloma

Kristal, fair point but how exactly does Zidane's history of shady play make Materazzi any less of a piece of shit? I guess I'm confused as to how that is a defense of Materazzi. Why do they have to be exclusive?

Marc

Cry me a river Pleeeease!

Zidane Tyson

The big O

"Cry me a river."

Using Justin Timberlake song titles is not cool man, NOT COOL!!!!!!

Kristal K

I'm just pointing out the histories before we crucify Matterazi on the Champs Elysee.

Besides, even if he said those terrible things about Zidane's mother -- I hate to say it -- but it is absolutely nothing he has not heard on the pitch before.

The world can tell us that the US is a terribly unequal and racist place, which it is -- but Europeans are notoriously racist and cruel.

Matterazi's alleged comments, as disgusting and spiteful as they are -- still do not compare to Spanish supporters throwing bananas and making monkey sounds at black players. In my book, that's grounds for justifiable homicide.

puddy

Kristal,

Materazzi's mother died when he was young, but old enough to remember, so he is probably telling the truth there. Not condoning anything, but dismissing that in this case may be folly.

The big O

"Spanish supporters throwing bananas and making monkey sounds at black players. In my book, that's grounds for justifiable homicide."

Bitches, although it's gotta suck to be a Spaniard. I suppose I can forgive them, their current hero Rapheal Nadal chokes on a piece of banana during a match, now that's roughneck. Spaniards are pissed at blacks because the Moors had their way with all of their greatgrandmothers.

They're eggplants as well, eggplant spanish omlettes, fuck 'em.

"Spanish chicks give great helmet, but most of 'em look like they've got buckwheat in a headlock" - Random Moor invader

Babu

They are both thugs, but some of the best players out there are thugs. Zidane should have had the composure as an older player to wait until after the game, win or loss, to give Materazzi a beat down...or hell, just let the press know what he had to say and let them crucify him.

The video of Materazzi, I assume this is the same one posted on deadspin, shows that Materazzi is not only a thug but also a dirty player who goes out to hurt people after plays are over, I am sure a similar set of clips is going to be put together for Zidane.

john pike

Of course, we are all assuming that Zidane's mother is not a terrorist whore...

Ty Webb

What a cocksucker. Zidane should have hit his face as hard as he did his chest.

Brian O'Nolan

Matarazzi is clearly an asswipe (though ironically, I suspect that video was put together by a fan - I picture some 12 year old punk in Palermo with too much bloodlust and IMovie - ICinematti? And the soundtrack WORKS.), but.

Wait until the game's over, Zizou. Keep your composure, hold up the trophy, THEN drill that gork in the sternum with your shaven skull.

That said, it was awesome to watch. I dropped my sandwich, literally.

Killer Marine

Somehow we've forgotten about the verbal exchanges between the offensive and defensive lines in the NFL??? Knuckleheads...every one of you.

Babu

"Somehow we've forgotten about the verbal exchanges between the offensive and defensive lines in the NFL??? Knuckleheads...every one of you."

They start fights after every other play though...and don't get kicked out of the game for it, flag is thrown, 5 yd penalty.

The big O

Goddamn, anyone been over to deadspin this morning? Zidane's mom is a muthafuckin gangstress, I love it. "I want his balls on a platter" DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!! "chill mom, why you always gotta beat kids up for me, I can handle myself" -Little Zidane.

Tom Tomberg

I'll agree, for the sake of argument, that Materazzi is a Nazi, mother-hating, piece of shit, who said something as offensive as you can imagine, multiplied by 10.

That said, Zidane is a bigger dumbass.

It's overtime (or whatever the fuck foreigners call it), of the FINAL GAME of the WORLD CUP. It doesn't matter what Maternazi said, Zidane just had to keep it in his pants for another 10 minutes. You don't do something that stupid, that detrimental to your team, at that moment.

SLaird22

No matter what the dude says, you can't go and assault him. You lawyers should know that.

Alana

Marco Materazzi is the best... and totally sexy... with the best tattoos, and hes better than everyones, a great soccer player and hes Italian... no one can beat him... & I love it when soccer players play dirty... its fuckin HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you bitches talk shit on him cause you dont know shit about him... hes a fucking GOD!
