The charming folks of Westboro Baptist Church, from deep in the heart of (you guessed it!!) Kansas, are at it again:
For the second time in a month, members of the Westboro Baptist Church, a Kansas-based group which claims the United States is being punished by God for being friendly to homosexuals, plan to protest in Southwest Florida. The target of the protest?
This time, Westboro is taking aim at the funeral of Army helicopter pilot Kyle Jackson, 28, who was killed Jan. 13 when his helicopter was shot down by insurgents near Mosul, Iraq...[Westboro member Shirly] Phelps-Roper said America is "feeling the sword of God" because it is pro-gay. A disapproving God "has become America's terrorist" and is sending soldiers home in body bags as proof, Phelps-Roper said.No word on how yesterday's solemn occasion went, but what else can you expect from an organization who prominently thanks god for Katrina on their website?
Have I ever mentioned how cool it would be to seal off KS with a 50-foot-high wall, fill it with water, and stock it with trout ... without actually removing 90% of its residents?
I'm 20 miles away from the border and still feel like it's too close.

Would these be bad-tempered trout with lasers on their heads?

Seriously, If these idiots were attacked and killed while protesting at this soldiers funeral would any jury in the land convict them? Someone tell me where to pay to help make this happen....

They did this in my old hometown when a couple National Guard members were killed in Iraq. I think they do this for most funerals especially those in the south and midwest. Fred Phelps if he had a bigger profile could probably beat out Robertson on the most loathsome list.

when peter asked jesus how many times should he forgive his brother, jesus said every time. He also said that only He can give and take. He is the beginning and the end. we are His children not His councilors we cannot say what God is to do and not to do. who He hates and who he loves. i wonder what those people will say when the time comes to answer for what they have done?

The bible says that if anyone says they love God yet hates their brother that they are a liar and the truth is not in them. The bible also says that we should love our neighbor as ourself and that everyone is our neighbor. These people do not have the truth in them. I am called to love these people but i don't have to love what they do. I do not believe God approves of what they do and He most certainly does NOT hate sinners! Jesus said he came to save the lost and to serve others. I'm sorry! I'm sorry that these people have done and said these things. I know that God loves everyone. I want to cry because of what they have said and done. I want everyone to know that God loves them. He loves everyone!!!!
