I continue to be grotesquely entralled by R. Kelly's trapped in a closet video series. Now, I understand that the damned fool has created 22 of these three minute vingettes, and he is still going. When do we find out that Sylvester has been kickin' it with middle schoolers, Chapter 20 or what?

If you haven't seen the series in it's entirelty, there is hope for you to catch up before R. releases his next 10 installments. Like most great literature, TIAC is considerably more entertaining in Cliff's Notes (style) form. Check out this guy's efforts for Chapters 1-5 and 6-12, which takes you from the literal closet to Rufus' closet, to Gwendolyn's shocking revelation to Twan's accidental shooting, to the Big Man's predicament.
Dr. Thorpe breaks down TIAC just like you remember Cliff doing to the Iliad or the Count of Monte Fisto, complete with Chapter Summaries, Character Insights, Overarching Themes, Literary Devices and Character Sex maps. Comedy doesn't get much higher than applying the trappings of informed literary comment onto Kelly's douchebag epic. Check it:
- "He urges God not to let Rufus open the closet, but offers no penance for his sins; seemingly, Kelly feels as if he is owed favors by God, despite the fact that he behaves thoughtlessly without regard to the feelings of others. "
- "Already the titular literal closet is done away with, and we see that the title of the narrative refers to broader themes."
- "In chapter five, the ironic underpinnings that buttressed the story all come into plain view."
- "Chapter six is perhaps the literary height of the series, as Kelly masterfully toys with our expectations and provides visceral thrills and a chilling cliffhanger. "
- "Kelly provides Bridget with a quaint, friendly Southern voice, which suggests an innocent and homely woman. Her offer of fresh cherry pie is both a symbol of domestic bliss and a suggestion of purity and chastity."
- "Literary Device: It is also noteworthy that Kelly switches between first and third person in this chapter, sometimes referring to Sylvester by name and sometimes remaining inside the character. With this disjointed narrative, Kelly subtly brings the listener into the madness and confusion of the situation."
Oh Captain, My Captain.
Awesome.
Many, many coworkers will appreciate this!

Cozmo,
There are coworkers who have dubbed this the greatest series of music videos ever. That said, we're all equally puzzled by his VMA rendition of TIAC, and also why he hasn't been put behind bars yet...

So, SN, you are saying that some people think that he is a dumber, child-moseting Andy Warhol, and others just think he's a dumb child molester.

I'd put it this way-
Some people think that he is a dumber, child-molesting artist who THINKS he's Andy Warhol, and others just think he's a dumb child molester.
