La Femme Blackita: Ruler of the World?

In light of the current news circulating about Vice President Cheney, it's not entirely far fetched that a black woman may be the most powerful person in the free world prior to 2008.

"Sparked by today's Washington Post story that suggests Vice President Cheney's office is involved in the Plame-CIA spy link investigation, government officials and advisers passed around rumors that the vice president might step aside and that President Bush would elevate Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice."

If so, it would take one bad pretzel, one unfortunate bike ride, one wacked out yahoo with a nine, or one just one very misguided brutha who watched Chris Rock's Bring the Pain one too many times, and Condoleeza would be King. Yeah, the odds are clearly against it, but still, if you told me ten years ago that a black person, and a woman no less, would be this close to being President of the United States in the mid-2000's, I would have told you that it's really fine time to stop hangin' with Pookie from New Jack. Craziness.

I think it would be great. Maybe George could just do us all a favor and resign to make it happen. Would much rather see Condi break this barrier than Hillary. Condi is certainly more qualified.
